> THE POTTERY ROUTE

Beyond the forest of Haguenau, in the north of Alsace, is the Outre-Forêt (the Outer Forest). Limited to the east by the Rhine, it encroaches to the west on the first foothills of the Northern Vosges. Although its major tourist attractions are picturesque pottery villages, spa towns, castles and the Maginot Line, you'll love this region for the extraordinary diversity of its landscape.

It's a land of hills, valleys and forests interspersed by rivers, orchards and Alsatian style market towns. You'll find no better setting for strolling around or simply contemplating the view.
